👋 Hi, I’m XJ, based in Silicon Valley.
The way I approach work and life comes down to four things—the 4Ps:
💼 Performance – Strive to grow and do great work.
🖊️ Perspectives – Stay curious, reflect deeply, and share openly.
🌎 Purpose – Contribute to something larger than myself.
👥 People – Appreciate those I’ve learned from along the way, including during my time at 🌲Stanford.
Outside of work, I enjoy 📚 reading, 🎙️podcasting, 🧑🍼 family time, and staying active with 🏋️ gym.
“Inasmuch as a finite game is intended for conclusion, inasmuch as its roles are scripted and performed for an audience, we shall refer to finite play as theatrical. ... Inasmuch as infinite players avoid any outcome whatsoever, keeping the future open, making all scripts useless, we shall refer to infinite plays as dramatic. .. Surprise causes finite play to end, it is the reason for infinite play to continue. Surprise in infinite play is the triumph of the future over the past." James Carse, Finite and Infinite Games

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." Steve Jobs, Commencement Address at Stanford, 2005
"You should write your obituary and try and figure out how to live up to it." Warren Buffett at the 2023 Berkshire Hathaway AGM
“the root causes of business disasters,…this predisposition toward endeavors that offer immediate gratification. If you look at personal lives through that lens, you’ll see the same stunning and sobering pattern: …unconscious propensity to underinvest in their families and overinvest in their careers—even though intimate and loving relationships with their families are the most powerful and enduring source of happiness.” Clayton M. Christensen, How Will You Measure Your Life
